PETOE培养模式下《环境工程原理》课程体系改革探讨

湖北工业大学环境工程专业于2011年被纳入"卓越工程师计划"。《环境工程原理》是环境工程专业的重要主干课程之一。因此,需要思考如何构建新的课程体系、优化课程设置等使其符合卓越工程师人才培养要求。本文从课程内容、教学方法、实践性教学环节三个方面探索上述问题。     

The awareness and practice of value management by South African consulting engineers: Preliminary research survey findings

The awareness of value management (VM) and the nature and extent of its practice by professional civil, electrical and mechanical engineers in the South African construction industry are investigated using a web-based, online questionnaire survey as the first part of a more extensive investigation. A primary objective of the early study is to test the UK-based assertion of Kelly et al. [Kelly, J., Male, S., Graham, D., 2004. Value Management of Construction Projects. Blackwell, Oxford] that VM is an established service with commonly understood tools, techniques and styles. The survey findings suggest that, while awareness of VM is reasonably prevalent among South African engineers, its practice is considerably less extensive. Where VM is undertaken, almost no attempt is made to benchmark VM activities against international standards nor does its use appear to conform to any standard methodology. Engineers prefer other ways of delivering value to projects, and do not generally employ VM to facilitate the client briefing process. The findings are important given the increasing globalization of construction services, especially given the international ties between designers, project managers and other professionals. Professional engineering associations in South Africa should adopt a proactive role in promoting the use of VM by engineers, possibly through continuing professional development programmes.     

应用化学卓越工程师培养顶岗实习实践教学模式的探索

以湖南理工学院应用化学卓越工程培养实践教学改革为例,探索了卓越工程师培养顶岗实习实践教学模式,建立了顶岗实习实践教学基地,构筑了顶岗实习实践教学体系,组建了"双师型教师"顶岗实习实践教学团队。     

The 2006 summary of scientific productivity of chemical engineers in Taiwan

In this report, the scientific productivity of Year 2006 of chemical engineering professionals in Taiwan was analyzed carefully with information retrieved from the database of the ISI Web of Science. The distributions of number of authors with x publication versus the number of publication x follows a general power-law trend, which coincidently comply with the Pareto distribution. The power-law indices found ranges from −1.64 to −2.22, which is consistent with values reported in the literature investigated for periods of 1907–1916 and 1969–2004.     

Design Errors: Inefficiency or Carelessness of Designer?

Design defects are experienced in many projects; the difference is only in the extent of occurrence. This technical note discusses a design error case in a building project in Nepal, where the designer made the wrong assumptions in roof treatment work for waterproofing as well as for heat insulation purposes. From the investigation of the problem, it was found that the waterproofing polymer was not applied directly over concrete slab top. Use of heavy concrete block as a heat insulation material also helped to increase the leakage problem. The problem evoked loss of prestige for project officials, the design consortium, and the contractor.     

勘探创造力的增强需要体制创新

建立一个与市场经济相适应的,对创造性劳动受到尊重、支持、鼓励的创新体制,是实现创造力持续增长的关键。为此就要在干部制度、分配奖励制度和资金管理制度上深入改革,进行制度创新,为培养造就综合素质强的复合型人才,使创造性工作能获得持久的动力与激励提供条件和保证。     

Corrosion knowledge management: An example of an interface for more efficient managerial communication

Corrosion is a highly technical issue of which middle and top managers are not much aware. An important issue in establishing communication between highly technical corrosion engineers and less technical managers is a system by which expectations of both sides can be processed in a language understandable for the other party. “Corrosion knowledge management” is the first step in designing such communication means. This paper will discuss the required tools for such systematic approach.     

以培养“卓越工程师”为基础的高水平工程训练体系的研究——以湖南工程学院为例

阐述了工程训练在高等工科院校中的占有重要作用和地位。结合我校实训中心的情况论述了建设“以培养卓越工程师为基础的高水平工程训练体系”的改革思路是：引进“产学结合、校企合作”的工程训练模式;建立一支高素质的“双师型”教学队伍;成立创新实训室和开展职业技能培训等。     

轴承故障诊断中特征选取技术

针对轴承故障诊断建模中如何通过筛选有效特征提高模型诊断准确率的问题,提出一种新的特征选取方法。在计算所得特征集合中,利用诊断模型直接对特征进行判断,将高于阈值的诊断准确率对应的特征(组合)选取为显著特征,以显著特征导向选取方式,找到候选特征集合中维度低、诊断准确率高的特征。试验结果表明,本研究提出的方法可筛选出有效特征,降低模型参数、减少样本需求量、提高模型准确率,提升了故障诊断的效率。
